National Cybersecurity
Association of Ukraine

About NAK.

The National Cybersecurity Association of Ukraine is an independent association and a platform for cooperation between the state, business and the expert community.

Mission.

The mission of the National Cybersecurity Association of Ukraine is to bring together the state, business, the expert community, researchers and technology companies to build a safe, resilient and open digital environment in Ukraine and around the world.

Through public-private collaboration, a growing industry ecosystem, knowledge sharing, joint initiatives and international partnerships, we help strengthen cyber resilience, the safe adoption of artificial intelligence, the response to information threats and trust in digital technologies.

Vision

A world in which states, business, professionals and society together shape a safe internet and a responsible digital ecosystem able to withstand cyber wars, information attacks, deepfakes and the risks of artificial intelligence.

The challenges we answer together.

Why Ukraine’s experience matters to the world.

What is a scenario elsewhere is experience in Ukraine.

  1. Security under real pressure

For years Ukraine has worked through cyberattacks on energy, communications, public services and the media, alongside a full-scale war.

  2. Threats as daily practice

Deepfakes, information operations and attacks on critical infrastructure are not a training scenario here, but everyday work.

  3. A contribution to international expertise

The association connects Ukrainian specialists with international partners, so that experience of cyber resilience shapes international expertise: guidance, research and shared approaches.

How we work.

Six rules every piece of NAK’s work follows.

  1. Independence

NAK is not a government body and runs no hidden advertising. We disclose our funding and any potential conflicts of interest.

  2. Sources first

Every claim on this site carries a date and a primary source. What we can’t confirm, we don’t publish.

  3. Method, not verdicts

No detector can say for certain whether a file is genuine. We show the method, the level of confidence and the limits of any conclusion.

  4. Defence first

We publish nothing that makes attacks easier: no non-public indicators, no infrastructure diagrams, no data about victims.

  5. Corrections and right of reply

We correct mistakes openly and date the correction. Anyone our material discusses has a right of reply.

  6. Apart from private interests

NAK’s work does not concern the personal or business affairs of its leadership. The president’s own projects are kept apart from NAK’s.

What NAK is not.

Names in our field are similar, so here is what we are not, to avoid confusion with other bodies.

  • Not a government body

An independent association, not subordinate to any public authority.

  • Not the National Cybersecurity Coordination Center or the national cybersecurity cluster

These are state structures; NAK is not part of them.

  • Not the “Cybersecurity Association of Ukraine”

A separate association with a different registry code (43289798).

  • Not НАКБУ

The Scientific Cybersecurity Association of Ukraine is a different organisation.

  • Not a forensics or takedown service

We publish methods and guides, but we don’t take files in for examination or remove material from platforms.
